1974
Quality Systems, Inc. (QSI) is founded by Sheldon Razin
1978

QSI incorporates in Irvine, California, as a computer consulting business and becomes the first turn-key customizable practice management solution for dental practices

1979

QSI adds managed-care features into its systems in anticipation of capitalized health plans

1982

On December 10, QSI goes public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol QSII

1995

Company serves 450 clients across the US

1996

QSI enters the ambulatory healthcare market with the acquisition of Clinitec, a software provider that converts paper medical records into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

1997

Micromed joins the QSI family, adding front-and back-office practice management software to the line-up

2001

Flagship EMR and PM applications are born when QSI combines Clinitec and Micromed to create NextGen Healthcare Information Systems

2008

NextGen Healthcare enters the revenue cycle management (RCM) market when it acquires Healthcare Strategic Initiatives and Practice Management Partners to help doctors manage billing and payments

2011

ViaTrack becomes part of NextGen Healthcare and brings technology to enhance EDI offerings

2012

Matrix Management Solutions is acquired to expand our RCM offering

NextGen Healthcare is ranked among the Top 20 Most Popular EMR Solutions by Capterra, Inc.

2013

True interoperability becomes a reality for NextGen Healthcare clients with the acquisition and integration of global HIT leader Mirth. This is a significant step to help providers improve clinical, financial and patient outcomes

2014

NextGen Healthcare receives KLAS Top Performance Honors for Ambulatory Care RCM Services

NextGen Healthcare celebrates its 40th anniversary by ringing the NASDAQ Stock Market closing bell

2015

Rusty Frantz joins NextGen Healthcare as president and CEO

NextGen Healthcare acquires Gennius, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare data analytics

2016

NextGen Healthcare acquires HealthFusion Holidings, Inc. (MediTouch), a cloud-based EHR/PM, in the small-practice ambulatory market

2017

Clients score NextGen Practice Management solution 12 percentage points higher year-over-year in the 75+ provider segment, resulting in the Most Improved PM Award from KLAS

NextGen Healthcare adds population health analytics with the acquisition of EagleDream Health

Entrada’s mobile platform for clinical documentation and collaboration is added to the NextGen Healthcare family of products

NextGen Healthcare named #1 Ambulatory EHR in OB/GYN, General Practice, Multispecialty by Black Book Research

NextGen Healthcare received the 2018 White Coat Award for highest accuracy in the delivery of prescriptions

The company aligns under a single brand and visual identity as NextGen Healthcare; launches a new corporate logo and brand identity (QSI remains in dental market)
